Frequently Asked Questions

"DO YOU THINK THIS WILL STAY?"

While of course we wish we could keep our bridal hair perfect forever, try to be reasonable in your expectations. Of course hair will naturally lose volume and some shape throughout the long day ahead of you. You can combat this, by selecting a style according to weather and texture. For added volume, length, and shape, you may want to consider hair extensions.

"WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE A BRIDAL TRIAL?"

Here are a few things to do before. Have a date and a venue squared away. Knowing when and where is also important. Whether it's outside in the summer or indoors in the dead of winter—can have a big impact on the styles you'll be considering. By this point, you should also have selected your wedding dress and begun to shop for accessories—from a veil or floral headpiece to the right necklace and earrings. Knowing all these details can also influence how formal or relaxed your wedding hair should be. Your wedding day accessories can determine whether you rock an updo, opt for curls or a braid. After these decisions have been made it's time to schedule a Bridal Trial! The normal recommendation is 2-3 months before the wedding.

"HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT WEDDING HAIRSTYLE?"

Do a style that reflects you and your wedding theme. I also must warn you to beware of Internet photos, as they're not always what they seem. When looking for inspiration make your choices based on your hair color, length, density and texture for reference.

"HOW SHOULD I WEAR MY HAIR FOR THE REHEARSAL DINNER?"

Plan ahead! Get a blow out the day before the wedding so that not only do you have perfect hair for your rehearsal dinner, but also so that it's at its best texture for styling the day of your wedding.

"WHAT HAIR MAINTENANCE DO YOU RECOMMEND?"

Make sure you trim and dust the hair regularly. This makes for smooth strands, for a perfect style. Try to keep your hair in its best condition by avoiding too much heat. Your styling products should always have heat protectant. Use high quality products for your hair starting with shampoo and conditioner. Also, consider adding subtle highlights to give amazing dimension throughout the style, and for the photos.

"DOES THE BRIDE CHOOSE THE BRIDESMAIDS HAIRSTYLE?"

Bridesmaids tend to choose their own hairstyles, but remember it’s your wedding so their hair needs to complement yours. The bridesmaids’ hair will almost definitely vary in style, length and texture, and so all of these factors must be considered when choosing your bridesmaids hairstyle.
Allowing your bridesmaids to choose their own hairstyles allows them to express their individuality.
And if all of your bridesmaids are wearing the exact same dress, contrasting bridesmaid hairstyles can look fabulous!
